  • Are you licensed/ bonded?
  • Yes! My Green Maids is appropriately bonded and insured to operate in the State of Florida. All of our cleaning staff are thoroughly background-checked and professionally trained before they are assigned to a customer route.
  • Do we have to Sign a Contract?
  • No, there are no complicated contracts. The only thing we ask is, if you need to cancel or reschedule a regularly cleaning appointment, that you do it at least 48 hours in advance. Our house cleaners are paid for each home they clean and a cancellation without enough notice to reschedule another appointment directly affects the housekeeper’s income.
  • What kind of products do you use?
  • At My Green Maids, we provide the necessary cleaning products when we come to your home,we only use products that are environmentally friendly. We want your house to be very clean but also safe for your children and pets. We are truly a green company!
  • What supplies do I need?
  • Nothing at all! The products we use have been thoroughly researched and tested by us and the best is what we use in your home. We sanitize every contact item used in your home to prevent cross contamination.
    Contact items include: vacuum head, toilet bowl brush, sinks brushes, rags and mops.
  • Do I need to do anything before you arrive?
  • The best way to prepare for your cleaners is to straighten up as much as possible. That way the cleaners can focus their efforts on cleaning up dust and grime, not putting things in their places. “It’s best if people pick up or straighten up their items” like toys and clothes.
  • Do I need to be home the day of cleaning?
  • Some customers prefer scheduling cleaning appointments while they are at work or away for the day, while others like to be at home during the process. This is up to you. Regardless of your schedule, you are certain to receive superior cleaning service-guaranteed!
  • How will you enter my home on my schedule days of cleaning?
  • We leave this up to you, whatever you feel most comfortable with. Here are some options:
    1. We have a “DO NOT DUPLICATE KEY POLICY”, you can either provide us with a do not duplicate key or we can make one, and return the original to you. Your key will be kept safe in our lockbox.
    2. You can leave a key under a door mat the day of cleaning.
    3. You can give us the code to the garage.
    4. You can leave the door unlocked the day of cleaning.
    Please Note: If for any reason we cannot get in the house to do the cleaning you will be charged a lock out fee of $30 which will cover the time spent for the housecleaner and gas.
  • What about my pets?
  • If your pets are non-aggressive and get along with people, then there should not be an issue. However, if your pet is the least bit aggressive, you will need to secure them during the time we are in your home.
  • What will it cost to have my house cleaned?
  • The cost will depend on the size of your home, the number of rooms to be cleaned and how frequently we clean your home. We will give you an estimate over the phone and when we arrive for your first appointment we will know right away if it will take significantly more or less time and will immediately let you know if extra time is going to be needed.
  • What is your policy if something gets damaged or broken?
  • While every effort is made to use great care in your home, sometimes accidents do happen.If we ever damage or break something and you are there, we will let you know immediately. If you are not home, we will leave you a note and contact you. We are insured and bonded and will make every effort possible to a) replace the item, b)give you a cleaning credit or c)pay for repairs.
  • How and when do I pay for my cleaning services?
  • We require payment before we begin cleaning. For your convenience we accept most major credit cards, checks and cash for payment. If you are paying with a check and are not going to be at home at the time of cleaning, please leave a check on your kitchen counter made payable to My Green Maids.
  • What if I am not satisfied with my cleaning?
  • Your complete satisfaction is very important to us. That is why we offer a 24 hour guarantee. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your home cleaning, just simply give us a call within 24 hours of your cleaning and we will return to re-clean the area you are dissatisfied with, at no cost to you.
